The Canadian Government launched its “Is Your Family Prepared" Campaign. For a major emergency – like a blackout or severe storm – you need to be prepared with an emergency kit for at least 72 hours while emergency workers help those in urgent need. The govenment recommends the emergency and disaster supplies to have in your kit. As part of this preparedness campaign, the Canadian Government is promoting the Ready Kits from St. John Ambulance which are available at various Canadian retailers.
